You'd think that at 18 months these kids would be speaking by now, but no. They're taking their sweet time. And I quite frankly don't mind. At. All.
Research shows that twins are 'late' speakers. Research also shows that bilingual children are 'late' speakers. Put these two factors together and they're 'late' speaker by the power of two (no pun intended!).
So you can imagine our surprise when Apollo, as he was signing 'bird', started making the /b/ sound. It was exciting and we praised his effort, even if it means that his first 'real' word will be in English... lol
